Why is there a Team Pool in the comp?
City Summit created the pool for climbers who aren’t at the top level but still want to compete. This means that if you register for the comp, you will compete in the main competition but you can also be part of a team pool competition.

What is a Team Pool you ask?
You can create a team of between 6 – 10 climbers with a nominated captain. While you are competing in the main competition your team will individually register their best climbs on a team scorecard.

Why is this a good thing?
The climber with the highest points within their team wins a prize. How awesome is that!

The Team Pool is just something that we thought would be cool to have in the comp so even lower level climbers can compete against their friends and be eligible to win a prize. Sounds easy right. Ask a City Summit staff member how you can register your team.

Climbers Against Cancer is giving you the opportunity to not only be a part of the global climbing community but to help build awareness and raise much needed funds to support cancer research across the globe. And if that’s not enough, you will also get to look great doing it! To show your support for this fantastic cause, purchase and wear proudly a CAC t-shirt. Available in a range of funky colours, all proceeds from sales will go directly to CAC to support International Cancer Research Charities from around the globe.

Top climbers have already offered their support to the campaign and you too can get in on the action. Spread the word for this great cause by adding a photo of yourself in your CAC t-shirt to the CAC family album or by adding a link to CAC from your own site or facebook page.

Climbers Against Cancer is the result of the hard work and determination of John Ellison . Already a long time climber, John’s idea to link climbers with cancer fundraising efforts was from the inspiration of his fellow climbing family and the power he saw in what a group of dedicated people can achieve.

City Summit will be making an order with CAC for t-shirts in April. If you would like to order a t-shirt then please let us know what size and colour you would like. Cost per shirt is $25 with the full purchase price being sent directly to CAC. Alternatively you can order directly from the CAC website at a cost of £15.

Get excited, the City Summit Bouldering Championship for 2013 has officially been announced for Saturday April 13, 2013. City Summit is raising the bar for competitive climbing in Perth with a massive lineup of prizes totaling over $8000 including an impressive and unprecedented lineup of Competition Prizes, Competition Pool prizes plus Door prizes. This is going to be huge so don’t miss out.
