Second half of chimney completed and ready for final positioning
City Summit keeps advancing with climbing walls and aims to hold to opening date with another climbing wall up and ready to be put into final place.
The second half of the chimney has now been cladded with ply and erected ready to go into its final position. The chimney designed by City Summit sees some awesome angles and should create some great climbing for all levels. The final width of the chimney is yet to be determined but the team at City Summit thinks the final distance at the base will be around 1500 mm wide. This will allow some huge gaps as the angles oppose at the very top of the climb creating some great dynamic moves and the odd dyno here and there.
The final position of the chimney is important as it flows into the massive wedge overhang wall that finishes in the middle of centre. It also will determine the final position of the bouldering cave which arrives from the fabricators this week. The bouldering cave is really something to see as it stands at 5 meters tall and is some 8 meters long with double sided faces.
