Yoga classes at City Summit
Yoga is back at City Summit! Claire has been busy in the yoga lab brewing an offering to suit everyone.
For the first time yogi or those wanting to up level their knowledge base the 6 week “Foundation of Yoga” course rolls out on Sunday the 3rd of April from 8-9am. We unravel the mysteries of good alignment and a solid foundation for a safe and effective practice.
Live or work in the area? A vinyasa flow class is the ideal way to start your day.
Wednesday 6:30-7:30am “Flow and Restore” (beginners welcome)
Friday 6:30-7:30am “Vinyasa Flow” (all levels)
For the weekend climber Sunday Yin 7:00-8:30pm is the perfect antidote for muscle tension. Also the perfect download for anyone with a fast paced life to take some time to relax.
Our resident yogi Claire Pianta has over 4yrs of teaching experience, has attended over 500hrs of Yoga Alliance approved teacher training and continues to study Prana Vinyasa Flow with Shiva Rea and the Yoga Synergy system with Simon Borg-Olivier. Her classes encourage returning to a more natural state of being through breath and body awareness.
Foundation of Yoga Course – New to yoga or have you been practicing for a few years and wanting to refine your alignment? This course delivers six workshop style classes to build the foundations of a safe and effective yoga practice.
Course 1: Sunday April 3rd – May 15th (no class 24th April due to long weekend)
Flow and Restore – An all levels dynamic vinyasa flow class with a restorative finish exploring the union of breath and moment delivered at a suitable pace for beginners and people working with limitations. The perfect tonic for a modern lifestyle and a great stepping stone to progress from “Foundations of Yoga” into a vinyasa flow class.
Vinyasa Flow – A creative, dynamic and heating practice designed to challenge your balance between strength and flexibility. The flow and playlist build to a peak then unwind to relaxation. Unleash energy for the day with a good shot of yogic espresso.
Yin – Accessible to all. Experience a deep tissue release while holding passive static poses for 3-8 minutes. How every climber dedicated to nailing that next project while staying injury free ends a big weekend on the wall. Float out the door in full body bliss with a swing in your hips and a smile on your face ready to find higher feet and a longer reach next time you climb.
